Jacob's Ladder


Jacob on his long journey from the south to the north,

obeying his father Issac's request. He is traveling to Laban, son of Bethuel, his mother Rivka's brother, in order to find himself a wife.

  In his dream he sees a ladder coming down from heaven to the earth, and angels ascending on it to heaven.

Is it not clear that because of this promise, that was also given to Abraham, that we are here in the land of Israel?
